Professionals from Leaf Latam<\/a>, SafeCity<\/a>, SUMAC<\/a>, REMS<\/a> and Typsa Peru<\/a> met last April in Lima (Peru) at the Meeting of<\/strong> AIS<\/strong> Authorized Entities<\/strong>, Around 2025 LATAM, to learn about the latest developments of the AIS accessibility certificate and its positioning in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n

Esther Bienes Pinedo, director of Fundaci\u00f3n ARS and AIS Certificate, chaired this meeting, which focused on internationalization formulas and, in particular, on the operation of transpositions to local laws<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

During the event, the number of Authorized Entities operating in Latin America, at international and local level in countries such as Peru, Ecuador, Mexico and Chile<\/strong>, was put at 6, having issued to date a total of 32 certificates in this geographical area.<\/p>\n\n

AIS Standard 2\/2023 and Events<\/h2>\n\n

The increase in demand for AIS 2\/2023 certifications<\/strong>, which applies to websites and APPs, and for the Events and Congresses modality, which experienced a significant increase in 2024, was also emphasized.<\/p>\n\n

The Authorized Entities had the opportunity to share knowledge through the presentation of some of their success stories<\/strong>. Leaf Latam explained the work carried out in the B300B PLC building; Safecity talked about Urbanova’s commitment to accessibility and AIS; and SUMAC discussed the certification of two branches of Banco de Cr\u00e9dito de Per\u00fa. <\/p>\n\n

What is an Authorized Entity?<\/h2>\n\n

The Authorized Entities<\/a> are companies that have signed an agreement with Fundaci\u00f3n ARS<\/strong> that allows them to advise their clients on AIS and that have trained their professionals as AIS Approved Technicians or AIS advisors.<\/p>\n\n

There are currently almost 40 Authorized Entities<\/a><\/strong> operating in different countries and in different economic sectors such as retail, offices, social and health care…<\/p>\n\n
