EMPOWER<\/strong>, an organization that works in the field of cultural mediation and education, has become an AIS authorized entity to continue its work of accompanying cultural teams and institutions in achieving the highest standards of accessibility.<\/p>\n\n

AIS is an international certification granted by the Foundation for Accessibility and Social Responsibility (ARS Foundation) that recognizes the degree of accessibility of spaces and services.<\/p>\n\n

EMPOWER, in its mission to bring culture closer to people with autism, has already brought accessibility to some of the country’s main cultural institutions, transforming museums and cultural spaces into accessible places for people with autism and their families.<\/p>\n\n

As stated by Laura Donis, founder and CEO of EMPOWER, “for us, being an authorized entity is a recognition of our work and our effort to guarantee equal access to culture for people with autism”. <\/p>\n\n

Donis also stressed that “being an authorized entity of the AIS certificate gives us an even greater impetus to continue inviting cultural institutions to join our project because we can train them in accessibility and they themselves benefit from having the AIS certification”.<\/p>\n\n

With these certifications, the ARS Foundation seeks to achieve safer, more usable and accessible spaces for all, valuing the efforts and impacting the ESG and DEI strategies of the organizations.<\/p>\n\n

Culture accessible to all<\/h2>\n\n

In the words of ARS Foundation “we are very pleased that EMPOWER has become an AIS Authorized Entity”, said Esther Bienes Pinedo, director of the Foundation who also stressed that “a culture accessible to all people is essential for the development of a fair, equitable and diverse society”.<\/p>\n\n

Thus, the AIS 1\/2023 Standard of the ARS Foundation verifies the degree of accessibility of urbanized environments or services with a score ranging from 1 to 5 stars, which would be excellence. Being an authorized entity homologates Empower to be able to promote and certify the accessibility of cultural spaces for all people, including people with autism. <\/p>\n\n

EMPOWER works with prestigious entities such as: National Museum of Natural Sciences, Royal Botanical Garden, National Museum of Anthropology, Museum of America, Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante, ICO Foundation, Casa de M\u00e9xico Foundation and Telef\u00f3nica Foundation, among others.<\/p>\n\n
