Galaxy-Lab, ITG’s center for advanced experimentation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to urban air mobility, smart energy and industry digitization, has achieved the prestigious international AIS accessibility certification.<\/p>\n\n

As an AIS Authorized Entity, ITG’s healthy and accessible architecture team has carried out the assessment and evidence gathering that led to the certification of Galaxy-Lab.<\/p>\n\n

Carlos Calvo, general manager of ITG, and Esther Bienes, president of the Foundation for Accessibility and Social Responsibility (FARS) and AIS certification, participated in the ceremony to present the plaque certifying the Galaxy-Lab facilities based on the AIS 1\/2023 standard.<\/p>\n\n

“As an entity aligned with the SDG goals and a reference in the field of sustainable construction in Spain, certifying the accessibility of our facilities with AIS is an important step that reinforces our social commitment and the welfare of the people who are part of ITG,” said Carlos Calvo at the plaque presentation ceremony.<\/p>\n\n

“ITG’s important commitment to sustainability, well-being and innovation is also reflected in accessibility, with a major commitment that has made them an authorized AIS entity and with the completion of their first AIS accessibility certificate consultancy project, Galaxy-Lab,” explained Esther Bienes Pinedo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

ITG’s first AIS Authorized Entity project<\/h2>\n\n

A few months ago ITG obtained the AIS Authorized Entity recognition and the Galaxy-Lab certification is the first project in which the ITG team has worked, whose certified and field technicians offer advice based on the AIS 1\/2023 standard to other companies or organizations wishing to certify the degree of accessibility of their assets.<\/p>\n\n

During the evaluation process, more than 750 accessibility indicators related to different functional areas were analyzed, such as the horizontal itinerary, communication and information services, evacuation itinerary and furniture.<\/p>\n\n
