AIS assessors met on May 28 at the Annual Meeting of AIS Authorized Entities: Around 2026 Spain<\/strong>, an event at which they shared certification progress, working group conclusions and the outstanding case of the year, among many other topics.<\/p>\n\n

After a review of the milestones achieved, with special emphasis on the celebration of the AIS Awards 2026 on November 20<\/strong>, the conclusions of the two working groups created to address the quality of the AIS service and the public and private bidding process were presented.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, the synergies between AIS and other sustainability and wellness certifications<\/strong> such as LEED, WELL and BREEAM were discussed in a round table moderated by David Ure\u00f1a, director of Expansion and Business Development at Fundaci\u00f3n ARS, with the participation of Patrizia Laplana, director of Asla Green Solutions; Cristina Gallego, technical director at Ineria Management; and Karen Mart\u00ednez, coordinator of sustainability projects at Arup.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The main case was presented by Jos\u00e9 Luis Cabecera, from Ingenia, and Borja L\u00f3pez Calle, from Minsait<\/strong>, who had the opportunity to explain the singularities of a project of special relevance for Madrid.<\/p>\n\n

For his part, Implaser’s accessibility director, Emilio de Loaysa, spoke of the “love story” between the signage company and Fundaci\u00f3n ARS, whose joint work has led them to certify their signs and routing with the AIS 3\/2023 Standard<\/strong>, a specific standard for evaluating the accessibility conditions of products.<\/p>\n\n

To conclude, a round table was dedicated to talk about ‘Ostomized people, their accessibility needs and how it is reflected in the legislation<\/strong>‘. Moderated by Esther Bienes Pinedo, president of Fundaci\u00f3n ARS, it was attended by Yolanda Fern\u00e1ndez, president of FAPOE (Federation of Associations of Ostomized People of Spain); Leonarda Pace, director of LHC Ba\u00f1os Ostomizados; and Raul Rodr\u00edguez, AIS audit technician. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
