- FACTORY outlets and Futura Park become the first shopping centres in Poland to obtain AIS accessibility certification.
NEINVER, the second-largest operator in Europe, has secured the AIS accessibility certification for its five FACTORY Outlets and Futura Park in Poland. The centres are the first in the shopping centres industry in Poland to obtain this accessibility certification, showcasing its commitment to providing an inclusive shopping environment that caters for people with limited mobility and hearing or visual impairments, among others.
With this certification, NEINVER has now secured
the AIS accessibility certification for its entire portfolio of owned assets in Europe.
The AIS accessibility certification evaluates aspects related to physical, sensory and cognitive functional diversity criteria to guarantee that any person, regardless of their condition, can move throughout the outlet centre comfortably and safely. Some of the measures include accessible toilet facilities and parent and baby rooms for infant feeding, designated parking spaces and specially adapted evacuation routes and emergency exits.
We are extremely proud of this achievement. Accessibility is particularly important in retail property facilities as it improves autonomy and safety of our visitors and employees. The centres have earned a 2 and 3 out of 5-star rating in these first certifications, and our plan is to increase to a 3 and 4-star rating in the short-medium term. For this we will incorporate high-contrast signage and further improve the accessibility of its toilet facilities and lifts among other measures, says Maciej Zacharewicz, International Facility Manager NEINVER.
Poland FACTORYs’ sustainability commitment
