Agora Bienestar 2024, which will be held on 3 December to coincide with World Disability Day, is working towards an AIS-certified accessible Congress.
This certification not only seeks to guarantee the accessibility of the congress, but also in terms of the attendees’ experience, promoting an inclusive environment for people with disabilities. To this end, the signing of this agreement between Fundación para la Accesibilidad y la RS and Ágora Bienestar aims to substantially guarantee accessibility through elements such as appropriate signage, adapted access management and control systems, as well as specific furniture, among others.
This application is the first step towards Ágora Bienestar’s goal of accessibility and, from its Technical Secretariat, it will be in permanent contact with the Foundation to coordinate technical details, inspection visits and management of the necessary resources. In addition, the congress has committed to communicate each phase of this process through its different communication channels, in order to keep its public informed about the progress towards certification.
Ágora Bienestar’s commitment to an accessible Congress
The presentation of the AIS plaque in the Events and Congresses category is scheduled to take place during the inauguration of this seventh edition, thus highlighting the congress’s commitment to accessibility. For its part, the Ágora Bienestar 2024 programme also includes different sessions related to disability and accessibility and, within the framework of its annual awards, recognition will also be given to a company that stands out in the inclusion of people with disabilities.
In addition to certification, other inclusive initiatives are being explored, such as the involvement of auxiliary staff and catering companies representing solidarity and inclusion entities.
Ágora Bienestar remains committed to accessibility and inclusion, and this step towards certification reinforces its role as a benchmark in the creation of accessible work environments.
