• Participants of the Homologated Technician and Field Technician courses will receive a diploma from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain).

The AIS Field Technician and AIS Homologated Technician courses, created by Fundación ARS, have been recognized by the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), thanks to an agreement signed between both institutions.

“We are proud to work hand in hand with professionals from this educational institution,” said Esther Bienes Pinedo, president of Fundación ARS. “Training has been in our DNA since our beginnings, as we believe that the creation of a better, more accessible world must be done by everyone, and in this objective, training is essential,” she added.

How many accessibility courses are offered?

Specifically, two courses are offered for professionals who wish to develop their professional activity within the framework of accessibility and, in particular, want to provide professional services to help their clients obtain the International Certificate of Accessibility based on the AIS 1/2023 Standard:

  • Accessibility Advisor/Consultant. AIS 1/2023 Standard Approved Technician. :
    • Training in the evaluation of a space or service based on the AIS 1/2023 Standard, including the collection of evidence and its subsequent assessment.
  • Field technician. AIS Standard 1/2023:
    • It is trained in the collection of evidence on accessibility through data collection, technical data sheets, images in different photographic and/or video supports of a space and service.

The next courses will be held between May 5 and 30 in online mode.

Will these accessibility courses have degrees from the Complutense?

Those who participate in the next edition of the AIS accessibility courses, whether offered directly by Fundación ARS or by the Complutense University, will receive, upon passing the training objectives, a diploma from the University (if the minimum number of students required is exceeded), a certificate of achievement from Fundación ARS and an Approved Technician or Field Technician license, as the case may be, if they belong to a company or institution with an authorized entity license in force.

In this way, students will be able to certify their knowledge of the AIS 1/2023 Standard with the support of Fundación ARS and the Complutense University and differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive labor market.

Will these courses lead to micro-credentials?

Those enrolled in these courses will be recognized for their efforts with micro-credentials, which will allow them to specialize by creating their own training itineraries.

Micro-credentials are studies whose access may or may not require a previous university degree and which certify learning results linked to short-term training activities”, as explained by the Complutense University of Madrid itself.

Specifically, the Homologated Technician Course provides 4 ECTS and the Field Technician Course provides 2 ECTS.
