The Madrid headquarters was awarded AIS 5 Star Gold certification under the AIS1/2023 standard, while other European locations were also recognized for offering inclusive and people-centered work environments.
Globant, a digitally native company dedicated to reinventing business through innovative technology, has announced that its Madrid headquarters, home to more than 1,200 employees, has earned AIS 5 Gold Star certification under the AIS 1/2023 standard, the latest and most demanding version
of the international accessibility framework created by the ARS Foundation.
This recognition places Globant among the first organizations in the world to achieve the highest level of accessibility in its professional environment, covering the physical, sensory and cognitive usability of its workspaces. Other global offices of the company, including those in Spain (Barcelona, Logroño), Italy (Milan, La Spezia, Mestre), Germany (Berlin) and Romania (Cluj), also achieved strong AIS certifications, reflecting Globant’s commitment to designing spaces where people with different abilities can work together comfortably.
To obtain the 5 Gold Star rating, environments must demonstrate exceptional performance in all dimensions of accessibility and user experience. Globant was recognized, among other achievements, for promoting full autonomy in mobility, improving multisensory orientation, optimizing lighting and acoustic conditions, reinforcing safety and emergency protocols, and implementing cognitively accessible visual communication systems.

The certification process was carried out with the support of Safe City, the authorized entity that worked with Globant to evaluate, guide and validate the accessibility conditions necessary to achieve the highest level of the AIS standard.
“Accessibility is not just a requirement, it is a reflection of the world we want to help build,” said Nestor Nocetti, co-founder and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Globant. “Achieving AIS 5 Star Gold certification places us among the global leaders in inclusive workspace design. It reinforces our mission to create environments where all people can thrive and to drive technologies that remove barriers and expand opportunities.”

“Designing accessible spaces is a fundamental principle that directly impacts the performance of our work environments,” added Eduardo Oppenheimer, Director of Corporate Real Estate at Globant. “This certification reflects how we build welcoming and inclusive offices for everyone, ensuring they foster productivity and collaboration on a large scale.”
“Awarding Globant the AIS 5 Gold Star certification means recognizing a level of excellence that is still rare in the corporate world,” said Esther Bienes, president of the ARS Foundation. “Comprehensive accessibility requires vision and a firm commitment to inclusion. Globant demonstrated that commitment at every stage of the process, and its leadership will help inspire more organizations to adopt
standards that ensure truly accessible environments for all.”
