- This grade achieved with the 2/2023 standard is equivalent to the AA of the WCAG 2.2.
Facephi’ s onboarding and authentication solutions have obtained three stars from the AIS accessibility certification for the digital space, which corresponds to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2), both in web environments and on iOS and Android, in line with the European Accessibility Act, in force since June 2025.

Obtaining this certification validates more than three years of cross-functional work between the Design, UX/UI and Development teams, and reinforces facephi’s purpose: to create digital experiences accessible to all people, without exceptions.
“Designing is not just about solving problems; it’s about deciding what kind of world you help build. At Facephi, that world is accessible, ethical and inclusive.”
– Vicky Tomasek, Director of UX and design
What does it mean to comply with WCAG 2.2 level AA?
WCAG 2.2 level AA ensures that digital products are understandable, usable and perceivable for the widest possible range of users. The criteria we meet include:
- Sufficient color contrast (at least 4.5:1 for normal text).
- Full navigation without the need to view the screen
- Clear, legible texts, flow without uncertainty for users
- Appropriate labels and descriptions on forms and images.
- Large enough touch controls (new in version 2.2).
- Prevention of loss of information due to time or input errors.
These principles ensure a seamless, intuitive and universal experience, regardless of capabilities, devices or contexts of use.
Accessibility: an ethical and strategic decision
According to Facephi, achieving this certification represents much more than meeting a standard: it is the validation of a design approach based on empathy.
“Inclusive design is part of our process from the earliest stage of development, not as a final add-on. We design with different environments, capabilities and forms of interaction in mind, to ensure that all people can use our solutions with equal confidence and ease,” they added.
