Our AIS (Approved Technician and Field Technician) assessor course has a new format, incorporating asynchronous videos, online exams and tutorials to the materials.

In 2026 AIS Institute has taken a further step in its digitalization process by offering the AIS 1/2023 Approved Technician and Field Technician courses asynchronously online, i.e. participants will decide when to view and study the contents autonomously within a period of one and a half months.

The special feature is that they must complete certain content before the dates set for online tutorials, during which they will have access to the ARS Foundation’s Technical Instructors.

Contents of the HT and CT course

Despite the change in format, the contents remain the same. The course is divided into different modules covering general concepts of accessibility and the AIS system, data collection, report creation, use of the AIS APP and the procedures governing AIS Standard 1/2023.

The objective of this training is to prepare the professionals of the AIS licensed entities to perform the certification consultancy. Once licensed, AIS consultants (what the system calls Approved Technician and Field Technician) can advise their clients to achieve the highest possible level of accessibility based on the AIS 1/2023 Standard for built and planned environments.
