The AIS Authorised Entities met at Around 2024 on 28 November in Madrid (Spain) to take stock of the year and look ahead to 2025.
Among the figures provided were the 49 authorised entities that have already signed agreements with Fundación ARS and the more than 100 certificates issued for projects linked to them.
The rebranding, the institutional trips to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the latest developments in the field of training also had their place at the fourth edition of this annual event.
In addition, the meeting, which was broadcast in streaming for organisations located outside Spain, explored the concept of social sustainability and the need for accessibility by use in two round tables.
Moderated by Cristina Pezonaga, head of Human Resources and Training at Fundación ARS, the ‘Social Sustainability’ round table was chaired by Gálata Llano, director of Safecity; Rosalidia Álvarez Hernández, architect and technical manager of the WELL certificate at ITG; and Antonio Martínez García, head of business development at Grupo Argenia.
The round table ‘Accessibility by use’ was moderated by María Jesús Conde, head of the Technical Department of Fundación ARS, and comprised Cristina Fernández, Associate Director of the technical area of Property Management at Savills; Ana Navas, Urban Planner in the Cities, Planning and Design department of Arup Madrid; and David Prieto, President of the Association for the Defence of the Right to Web Accessibility (ADDAW).
Singular case
In addition, as every year, a unique case was presented. In this edition, Sara Claver, Director of Engineering and Projects at Implaser, explained the accessibility work carried out in six stations of the Saudi Arabia Railway.
The climax of the meeting was the performance of the duo Dos Capacitados, who sensitised the audience with a show about self-improvement and acceptance.
